CANINES TO PUT THEIR BEST PAW FORWARD AT CORKY’S INTERNATIONAL HAUTE COUTURE FASHION SHOW

What’s a well dressed dog supposed to wear? Well, if your closest canine “supermodel” is planning to attend Long Island’s Annual Family Festival on Saturday, September 20th at 2pm at Copiague’s Tanner Park (raindate October 3), then the outfit should take on an international flair, because one of the festival’s special events is “Corky’s International Haute Couture Fashion Show.” The show's creator was Corky Nightingale, a West Highland White Terrier who would put a “bark out” to all her international canine friends and their owners to “Paws for Style” and select an international canine couture outfit which will bring canine fashion to a new standard of prestige and style. After six years, the show continues in her memory.

Canines from all over the world are invited to parade in Prada, sparkle in Swaroski and walk in the park as they wag their tails on the “Catwalk” to the delight of dog lovers and the “pupparazzi.” French Poodles just might be wearing berets while Scottish Terriers could be sporting their kilts, daushunds might wear their lederhosen and English Bull Dogs might tip their derby’s at you. Whatever international breed your four legged fashionista is, he or she will have a howling good time.

In addition to “Corky’s International Haute Couture Fashion Show,” the festival will feature an exhilarating carnival, entertainment at the Festival Stage which will feature something to satisfy all musical and dance tastes,Pet Expo in the Park, Family Festival Pizza Eating Contest, Tanner Park Beach Car Cruise, Inflated Balloon Fashion Show, a pirate show, Gamin' Ride Gaming Bus, magic show, plenty of food, Oceanview Art, Craft and Gift Show, New York Life’s Child ID & Protection Booth and numerous other exciting activities.
